Project Assignment

The company iGAPlan commissioned WiKon-IT with the technical management and comprehensive IT infrastructure & web optimization. The goal was to create a reliable, secure, and easily maintainable IT environment that brings both the internal systems and the online presence up to current technical and legal standards.

Project Scope

Tasks

Within the project, iGAPlan’s core IT components were restructured, optimized, and aligned for seamless interaction. This included the reconfiguration of the QNAP NAS system with disk setup, app installation, and implementation of a cloud backup for automated data protection, as well as ongoing system maintenance to ensure stable operation. Additional tasks covered the planning of a high-performance CAD workstation, extensive Windows support, and the optimization of the hosting structure at IONOS. Furthermore, the Microsoft Office account was reconfigured for proper synchronization. The company’s website was technically restored, updated for GDPR compliance, and enhanced with a cookie banner, bug fixes, and continuous maintenance. Through these measures, iGAPlan received a modern, secure, and long-term maintained IT environment that significantly improved both internal workflows and the company’s online presence.

Complete reconfiguration of the QNAP NAS system
Initial setup and structuring of hard drives (HDD configuration)
Installation and configuration of essential QNAP applications
Implementation of a cloud backup for external data protection
Testing and verification of backup functionality, including recovery test
Configuration of local users and access permissions on the NAS, including 2FA
Activation and setup of NAS notifications
Network security review and basic firewall configuration
Network integration and IP configuration of the NAS within the local system
Execution of multiple system updates and maintenance tasks
Consulting and planning of a high-performance CAD workstation
Windows support, including diagnostics and troubleshooting
Review and cleanup of the IONOS hosting contract
Reorganization of domain, SSL, and mail settings at IONOS
Configuration adjustments in the Microsoft Office account
Error analysis and code corrections within the existing website structure
Updating of the website backend and all plugins
GDPR compliance update for the entire website
Technical optimization for improved performance and stability
Ongoing maintenance and support of the company website
Verification of existing email accounts

Project Completion

After completion of all tasks, iGAPlan now has a fully modernized and optimally coordinated IT environment. The QNAP NAS system operates stably and reliably with automated backups, the website is technically and legally up to date, and all systems work securely and efficiently together. Through comprehensive support, WiKon-IT established a sustainable IT structure that simplifies future maintenance, data security, and overall workflows.
