Project Assignment

The goal of the project was the comprehensive IT Optimization & System Support of the medical practice – focusing on stable networks, modern hardware, secure data management, and efficient workflows.

Project Scope

Tasks

The project scope included the complete maintenance and optimization of existing systems, the setup of new hardware, the migration of email infrastructure to IMAP, and the configuration of network and data security. In addition, data recovery, restructuring of the practice’s file organization, and the setup of fax and scanning devices were carried out.

Analysis of the practice’s existing IT structure

Cleaning and speeding up Windows PCs

Removal of outdated software and system files

Installation of current security and system updates

Optimization of startup and background processes

Professional installation of a LAN cable for stable networking

Consultation on selecting a compact notebook for practice use

Setup of the new notebook including full data transfer

Data migration from the old to the new device

Configuration of the practice network including shared access

Setup and securing of the WLAN network

Migration of email accounts from POP3 to IMAP

Transfer of all emails and account settings

Cleanup and optimization of the IONOS hosting package

Consulting on IT processes, data protection, and NAS systems

Data recovery from a damaged USB drive

Structuring of file storage for more efficient access

Installation and testing of fax and scanning devices

Implementation of essential IT security measures

Creation of a simple backup concept for local data

Training and instruction of the practice team in new IT workflows

Project Completion

After successfully implementing all measures, the practice now has a stable, secure, and well-structured IT environment. Systems and data have been optimized, network performance improved, and all workflows are technically up to date. This provides a reliable foundation for smooth daily operations within the practice.
